Excerpt:
Reluctantly, he sat up as Bryan shoved a
mug in his hand. “Thanks,” he growled, barely opening his eyes, but savoring
the aroma steaming up.
“Yeah. So, what are you doing today?”
Kayden had no idea. His thoughts swirled
around, not making sense. Visions of Bryan flashed through his head,
overpowering him. Bryan drinking coffee, smelling a mug, frowning as he loaded
it in the dishwasher. All of it on rinse-repeat. “Damn!” he said, practically
flinging the mug to the coffee table. It had been years since unwanted
impressions slipped through his shield. This thing with Glory was starting to
fuck him up.
“Well, now. If you don't like the coffee…”
Bryan grabbed the mug and disappeared into his kitchen.
“Bryan, ugh! It's not that.”
Bryan stood in the doorway, and Kayden's
eyes, finally opened, raked over him, taking in his bare chest and the way his
sweatpants hung, clinging, from his hips. His blond hair fell over one eye, and
the other sparkled with blue mischief. “It's all good, Kay!” He sipped his own
coffee, while Kayden stared at his traitorous hands.

Character
Interview with Bryan Erickson
Bryan is a wrangler at WCPC – Watercress
Cannon Paranormal Consultants. He’s tall
with blond hair and blue eyes, cocky and sure, everyone’s ideal man. Today he’s
with us to discuss the events of Brown-Blythe estate and his WCPC team.
First,
Bryan, how long have you worked for WCPC and what exactly do you do?
Thanks for having me here. I joined WCPC
right out of college, so five years now. And I still love it. I get to lead the
team! We charge into danger and take care of any paranormal entity we
encounter. I can manipulate psychic energy. That means I can control the
paranormal...including demons.
Oh.
Are demons hard to control?
The hardest. You can’t trust what you see,
or hear, or even think when they’re around. People summon them, thinking it’s
going to be a good time, a power boost, but they usually end up dead or worse.
Worse?
What’s worse than dead?
Uh...being possessed. That’s way worse.
Ah!
And that brings us to the rest of your team, or rather former team...Chad
Paige.
I’m not talking about Chad Paige. Sorry,
ask something else.
Why
not? Is it because Chat was in fact possessed by a demon while on your team?
Sorry. This interview is over.
Bryan Erickson left immediately, giving us
no opportunity for follow up questions. We can only assume that Cha Paige and
the question of his possession are tremendously sensitive subjects. This
reporter will continue to dig into these events and bring you full coverage at
a later date.
