Trans Women Sisterhood of Canada

Hi everyone! I want to introduce my fellow Canadian women to something that’s near and dear to my heart. Started by Shauna Angela Miron in April 2026, Trans Women Sisterhood of Canada unites trans women across our beautiful nation, as well as Canadian trans women living abroad, for equity and safety while celebrating sisterhood.

This is their history, and what the future holds for the organization. They also hope to have it listed as an organization by the end of this year. (All documents/photos shared provided by Shauna Angela Miron, creator, thank you!!!)

They have two logos, one that you see on the documents shared. They beautifully and perfectly reflect being a Canadian trans woman, as well as love and sisterhood.

There are openings for volunteers in each province. Listed are what they are looking for and the responsibilities. So if you’re a trans woman in Canada, this is an amazing way to help out locally as well as across our amazing nation.

They have a Facebook group. All trans women across our nation – and trans Canadian women living abroad – are welcome to join, participate and network. It’s full of positive and uplifting posts, trivia, tips for fashion and more, platonic love, and most of all, sisterhood. There are so many amazing, lovely women in the group, so it’s easy to make friends fast and network with those in your own area as well as other Canadians across our nation and abroad.

They also have a Facebook page that anyone can follow and share for trans women, and their cis friends and allies.

I’ve included both links in my permalinks area to the left of my blog entries for easy access for all Canadian women – trans and cis friends and allies – to find and join.

Shauna has taken the idea of Trans Women Sisterhood of Canada from an idea to an organization with over one thousand members (and growing!) in less than six months. That’s one heck of an amazing accomplishment! It goes to show how fast something can grow from an idea when you work hard.

If you want to join Trans Women Sisterhood of Canada’s group, or follow their page, click on the links listed above.

Many thanks to Shauna for creating this organization for our trans sisters across Canada to connect, make friends, share ideas and best of all, just be their beautiful selves.

Have a great weekend everyone!
