Tour Stop: His Proposition by Maggie Blackbird #ExtasyBooks

Please welcome my longtime friend and fellow Extasy Books author, Maggie Blackbird, and her latest book, HIS PROPOSITION!

His Proposition

by Maggie Blackbird

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Her biggest dream’s offered on a platter, but the clincher is, she has to marry a perfect stranger.

When her employer offers the no-nonsense Shannon Nadjiwon the position of chauffeuring Séamus Daugherty, she jumps at the chance. To work for one of Toronto’s most powerful families means she can make her biggest dream of owning a fleet of limos come true, something her female relations tooling away at her Ojibway community want badly for her, and she won’t let them down.

His reckless need for speed cost Séamus Daugherty his license. If he doesn’t marry, as demanded by his overbearing father, he will lose not only his lucrative job with the family business —the only positive aspect in Séamus’ gilded cage life—but everything Daugherty.

The unpretentious and gorgeous Shannon will make the perfect bride, and Séamus is ready to strike a deal with her. One that will ensure he keeps everything he holds dear if she puts a wedding ring on her finger. However, they face three big obstacles: His family, her family, and a marriage neither truly wants, leaving both wondering if the sizzling sexual chemistry and cozy rapport they share is enough to create a happily ever after.

Hit the brakes. The thought kept screaming through Shannon’s brain. As much as her mind hollered the warning like a flashing amber up ahead on the road, her body refused to cooperate. Her lips had turned traitor and continued to taste Séamus’ mouth that was a blending of cider and a hint of mint from the candies they’d sampled after dinner.

She had her friends to think about, the pact they’d made, and their townhouse.

But gosh, his kiss was finer than the champagne they’d drunk this afternoon.

She had her dream to think about.

But geez, he’d offered to help her purchase a town car.

She was an independent woman doing what her mother and kokum had yearned for. How disappointed they’d be if she didn’t see it through.

But cripes, his mouth sliding over hers was a seamless fit. Perfect.

His arm snaked around her waist. He drew her in closer until her breasts melted against his chest—pectorals that weren’t overly muscular and gym-made, but firm and athletic from skiing, surfing, and golfing.

He even smelled wealthy and powerful, a fine scent of expensive cologne and a hint of a plushness from his tuxedo.

The deciding factor? Séamus wasn’t a snob who thought he was better than her, another horny client on the make, expecting her to be grateful for a taste of his dick.

His fingers brushed at her waist, gliding in a tiny movement back and forth. His touch was magical, and her skin responded with shivers and goosebumps. The soft puckers he offered became firmer, deeper.

When his tongue traced her closed lips, the warning bell rang again in her head. She had to stop him before one thing led to another. But darn, the temptation was so great.

An Ojibway from Northwestern Ontario, Maggie resides in the country with her husband and their fur babies, two beautiful Alaskan Malamutes. When she’s not writing, she can be found pulling weeds in the flower beds, mowing the huge lawn, walking the Mals deep in the bush, teeing up a ball at the golf course, fishing in the boat for walleye, or sitting on the deck at her sister’s house, making more wonderful memories with the people she loves most.

Guest Post: The Big Fall by Tim Smith

Hello everyone! My friend and fellow eXtasy Books author TIM SMITH is here to share a little bit and an excerpt from his latest release, "THE BIG FALL". Enjoy!

“The Big Fall” (Nick Seven, Book 7) by Tim Smith (c. 2020, eXtasy Books)

He’s as cool as a Pina Colada on a Key West beach, he’s the kind of guy your mother wouldn’t let you play with, and he’s every bad guy’s worst nightmare. Nick Seven is back in “The Big Fall,” the new romantic adventure from Tim Smith. This is the latest installment in the popular series featuring two former spies trying to keep a low profile in the Florida Keys, but not having much luck.

“Just when you think life can’t get much better, a crashing wave wipes out your sand castle. Former spies Nick Seven and Felicia Hagens are taking a break from Key Largo to visit a casino owned by Nick’s friend, Rock Bianco. An unexpected, nasty encounter with one of Nick’s former lovers turns disastrous when she’s killed shortly afterward. The police and the girl’s wealthy father are convinced that Nick did it, despite the lack of hard evidence. The billionaire industrialist wages an online smear campaign to make Nick look guilty, including sordid details from his past career in the CIA. The stakes become more personal when the fallout impacts Felicia, testing their relationship. Nick fights back, but why is the man determined to hold him responsible for his daughter’s murder? Who really killed her, and why is their identity being shielded? Can Nick and Felicia resolve this crisis and reclaim their idyllic life in paradise?”

This is a different kind of story for this series, because Nick and Felicia don’t get involved in international intrigue or a criminal plot. Nick is being set up as the fall guy for a murder he didn’t commit, and must use his skills to clear himself and reveal the real killer. The villain du jour is an arrogant Miami billionaire who uses his mega-bucks to get what he wants, manipulates the media for his own benefit, and crushes anyone who gets in his way. Unfortunately, this time the target happens to be Nick Seven.

At the core of the story is a strong romance between Nick and Felicia, his former co-worker from Barbados. The situation they’ve found themselves in threatens their relationship, but ultimately brings them closer. There is a lot of teasing, flirting, humorous dialogue, and the requisite hot sex.

Nick walked into the darkened living room. Felicia had put some light Latin jazz on the stereo and lit a scented candle. She slinked toward him and draped her arms over his shoulders.

“This looks very cozy and romantic,” he said.

Felicia caressed his cheek with her palm. “I thought we’d stay in since we’re still on vacation. You okay with that?”

He kissed her. “Oh, yeah.”

She stepped back, took his hands in hers, then pulled him into the middle of the room. Felicia began a slow dance, gently swaying her hips in time with the Bossa Nova beat. Nick picked up her cue. He wrapped one arm around her waist and put the other on her shoulder, then moved in rhythm with her.

“What brought this on?” he asked.

“You never take me dancin’.”

He pulled her closer and got into their passionate embrace. Felicia rested her cheek on his chest and Nick inhaled the pleasing combination of musky cologne and her natural body chemistry. He moved his hand up to massage her neck under her long hair. Felicia purred softly and undulated against him while rubbing her palm along his shoulders. Nick felt a stirring in his groin the longer they danced, engaging in intercourse on their feet.

He tipped Felicia’s head back slightly and kissed her on the cheek. She moved her lips to his and hungrily embraced them, letting her tongue do an exploratory mission into his mouth. Nick felt closer to her than he had in a long time and his arousal increased when Felicia rubbed against his crotch. She put her hand on the back of his neck and pulled his mouth closer, increasing the intensity of her kisses.

She danced him backwards to a bar stool and prompted him to sit, not breaking their passionate oral embrace. Nick pulled Felicia onto his lap and devoured her soft tasty lips. After a couple of minutes, she stood, then cupped his chin in her palm. The music changed to a slow salsa and Felicia’s eyes seemed to take on a sultry glow.

Nick watched as she unbuttoned her shirt while maintaining eye contact. She pulled her top aside to reveal her firm braless breasts, her nipples stiff with anticipation. Felicia swayed her hips in rhythm while unfastening her slacks. She teasingly pulled them down her legs, then kicked them off, showing her black lace thong. She leaned forward and let her hair fall about her face, then ran her long fingers through her mane and tossed her head back as she stood before him. She slowly ran her hands over her breasts then along her firm stomach while swaying with the music. Nick felt himself getting more aroused the longer she performed her sensual dance.

This story drew inspiration from current events, especially the influence of social media and how some people use it for their own good at the expense of others. There’s also an homage to one of my favorite dramas, Law & Order, and some nods to film noir crime capers. Add in tropical Florida atmosphere, from the oceanfront sands of Fort Lauderdale to the laidback ease of The Keys, and you have all the necessary ingredients for an entertaining read.

The Neon Jungle (Nick Seven Book 6) by Tim Smith

Good morning everyone! Today, fellow eXtasy Books author Tim Smith drops by with his newest Nick Seven book, "The Neon Jungle". He's included a juicy excerpt from it... Enjoy!

“The Neon Jungle”

(Nick Seven Book 6)
By Tim Smith
Romantic thriller; interracial romance; multicultural romance; urban crime thriller

He’s as cool as a Pina Colada on a Key West beach, he’s the kind of guy your mother wouldn’t let you play with, and he’s every bad guy’s worst nightmare. Nick Seven is back in “The Neon Jungle,” a gritty tale of crime and revenge on the mean streets of Miami.
“In the laidback Florida Keys, former spies Nick Seven and Felicia Hagens found a paradise far removed from the covert world of the CIA. Nick, content to run a bar on the Gulf and maintain a low profile, breaks his self-imposed exile when a friend asks for help in getting a local mob boss off his back. Popular singer Jimmie Rae wants to get free from the notorious Turk Morgan, a crooked music mogul who controls the Miami entertainment scene. Jimmie reveals that his girlfriend has gotten caught in Turk’s web, and he wants to get her out before it’s too late.
“As Nick and Felicia explore the neon jungle of South Beach, they encounter the dark underside of the music business. Drugs, prostitution, street thugs, and political payoffs are Turk’s stock in trade, and he isn’t one to relinquish control over his empire. Nick goes undercover as an international criminal to challenge him, but will he succeed in breaking Turk’s hold over Jimmie and his girl? Can Nick use the sting operation to solve a cold case murder he discovers by accident? What other secrets will he uncover?”
This story is a bit different from the other entries in the Nick and Felicia spy thriller series. If you’re familiar with TV shows like “Burn Notice” or “Leverage,” you’ve seen the trope of people pulling a scam on someone to bring them down. In this case, the target is a vicious Miami crook masquerading as a music mogul. He’s sort of a black Godfather, using a network of street thugs and paid-for cops to maintain his illegal empire.
It was fun to write because I got to send Nick undercover using an old alias from his days as a CIA spook, a Greek arms smuggler named Nick Stavros. Along with Felicia and his former partner, the somewhat trustworthy Bones McCoy, Nick concocts a plan to make Turk Morgan think his empire is crumbling around him.
There are colorful locations, quirky characters, snappy dialogue, action, and romance. I made full use of South Beach as a backdrop, with its art deco buildings, bright neon lights, and endless parade of street hustlers to add atmosphere. There are also some dark secrets hiding behind the flashy façade that add to some of the sexual tension.

Nick and Felicia sat in silence for a few minutes, absorbing the night sounds of waves gently lapping on the shore, accompanied by surprised laughter and squeals from people out for a moonlight beach stroll along the water’s edge. The half-moon peeked through a few wispy clouds that lazily rolled by, subtly illuminating the stillness.

Felicia took a sip. “Looks like we have the rest of the evenin’ to ourselves. What do you want to do?”

Nick looked at her, his playful side coming out of hiding, one reflected in his voice. “What we’d normally do when we’re away from home on an overnight.”

Felicia gave a seductive chuckle. “You weren’t kiddin’ when you said you liked this dress.”

“No, I wasn’t. Were you kidding when you said you liked what I’m wearing?”

She stood and slinked toward him, giving Nick a smoldering look that was evident in the dim light. She perched on his lap with her legs straddling his and rested her hands on his shoulders. Her gaze bored into his with a look that communicated more than words.

“Mm-hmm,” she cooed while undulating against him. “I like it a lot. Wanna know a secret?”

“Sure.”

She stood, backed up to the railing a few feet away, and rested her butt against it. She grasped the dress near her waist and slowly gathered up the material, raising it an inch at a time along her toned legs and thighs. Nick’s heart beat faster as more of her body was teasingly exposed. His eyes widened a bit when Felicia pulled the fabric over her crotch, revealing that she was au naturel under the cocktail dress.

Felicia cocked her right leg to the side. Even in the dimness, Nick could make out her trimmed pubic patch glistening with the dampness of her desire. Felicia moved her hand between her legs and lightly ran her fingers over her sex.

“Like what you see?” she teased while fingering herself.

Nick rose and approached her. Felicia opened her arms, and he stepped into her embrace. She held him firmly, easing her head back. She opened her mouth ever so slightly and ran the tip of her tongue along her lips, giving him a silent invitation. He accepted. The fit of her lips was as perfect as ever, and he could taste the lingering sweetness of strawberry lip gloss. He pressed deeper and lost himself in the kiss until she drew away. She touched a finger to the stubble on his cheek, traced a slow line down his jaw, and gave him a dreamy-eyed gaze with a hint of a smile.

Nick became aware of voices from the beach below. He took Felicia’s hand, led her inside, and closed the balcony drapes. No sooner had he turned around than Felicia was on him like a lynx that had cornered its prey. She pulled him close, forcefully pressing her lips against his. Her tongue invaded his mouth and engaged his in an erotic dance. Nick moved his hands along her back until he reached her firm butt. He pulled her dress up while they kissed until her ass was exposed to fondle and squeezed her cheeks, all while pressing against her, his hard-on straining against his pants.

Felicia pulled back slightly and flashed a teasing look. “Are you carryin’ a blackjack in your pocket?”

“No, it’s all me.”
