The St. Patrick's Day Party is going strong over at The Romance Studio. There are so many talented authors participating this year. I'm reading excerpts from not just my fellow eXtasy Books authors, but others as well. Some of these amazing people have at least 10 books out... I'm one of the few showcasing only their debut novel.
It feels weird being included in this wonderful group. I keep thinking I'm not worthy of doing this, yet people are starting to respond and say hello to me. Normally I'm the one promoting others, so yes, this is a bit odd for me to do.
I am loving it every time someone drops by and comments on one of my posts, or seeing someone post on someone else's share. Everyone is so nice!
I want to thank the Romance Studio for hosting such wonderful events like this. It's one amazing experience, and I'm so glad I signed up to be one of the featured authors this year. I'm gaining a lot of experience just in the first two days of it, and I've met some amazing people.
eXtasy Books authors who are participating this year are: D.S. Dehel, Curtis A. Cooper, Taryn Jameson (who co-writes with Gabriella Bradley), and my longtime friend, Maggie Blackbird. eXtasy Books is also participating, and they've been featuring some of the newer releases from their most popular authors - from Viola Grace to Diana Waters, and down the line.
I've included a few excerpts from Stricken - two or three new ones that are not featured on the eXtasy Books website or my own - and the most recent post was a character interview I did for Maggie Blackbird's blog a while back.
I already know what I'll be sharing tomorrow and Sunday... I'm giving away a gift card for eXtasy Books/Devine Destinies, and 2 copies of Stricken, so if you want to put your name in for either, get over there and say hello!
I worked on designing some banners during the great Facebook Outage of 2019, and had some fun in Twitter.
This sort of happened while I was carrying on with a few friends in Twitter on Wednesday night....
Yes, that is the REAL William Shatner - Captain Kirk himself - retweeting my reply to one of his tweets. I wonder how long he's waited to razz someone from Nova Scotia about Oak Island.
The only way it would have been more epic is if it had been Mark Hamill. LOL
A long running joke has now become my signature... I was getting teased about being such a purple freak, and how much I love purple roses, especially by my pals at eXtasy Books. So, I've decided that my signature is purple roses. It really suits me, or I think it does.
Here's a couple of the banners I made for the St. Patrick's Day Party, my pages, and my Facebook Group (Romancing the Maritimes):

My author tagline.

New banner for my Facebook Group.

Some of my favorite sights along the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

Introductory banner for the TRS party.
I am also looking into making some book trailer videos and getting subscriptions to some stock photo sites so I can do some amazing book trailers, and make some gorgeous and unique banners for my work... And maybe help others with theirs too.
Thank you to everyone who has signed up for my newsletter! That is so sweet of all of you. I hope to have Volume One out later this year, when I have big news to share.
Don't forget to keep checking the Romance Studios' Party Website to see what kind of amazing excerpts are showcased by some uber talented authors!
Have a lovely weekend everyone... I leave you with "Sometimes She Cries" by Warrant. Enjoy!

Great blog post, VJ. I enjoyed reading what you had to say.
ReplyDeleteThanks Maggie! I'm so glad you're participating in the fun at TRS too this year, it's great seeing excerpts from Redeemed, and I can't wait to get my paws on it. It's going to be good!
